Finally some relief

As of Friday I thought that the situation with my neck wasn't ever going to get better. I had a long rough night Thursday, and so I had to go to my doctor's appointment Friday even more exhausted than I wanted to be. The joke was kind of on me.

The doctor looked over my PT chart and asked me a few questions that I answered very honestly and directly. He found the fact that I was hurting so much at night but not during the day a problem. He decided to order a MRI. I tried to explain that I hadn't slept more than 2 hours a night except for one night I got 4 hours in the last 10 days. He didn't see how that would effect the amount of pain I was having. He also thought that I should be able to sleep without help of pain medication, some Advil would work. Hmm, where have I heard that before.

Finally, my hubby spoke up and bluntly told the man that I needed sleep before I fell out. A person can only go so long without sleep. He finally gave me the same thing that the doctor had prescribed at the clinic last week and a sleeping pill. Not just any sleeping pill but one that has been found to be highly addictive. I passed on mixing a sleeping pill with a pain pill. I knew that without the pain I could sleep. And sleep I did last night I slept a little over 6 hours last night!!

I felt much better today. In fact my hubby took me to Memphis to scrapbook shop and eat at Hooter's ( I know, I know but I love, love, love their boneless chicken wings). I felt pretty good just a little tired. It felt so good to get out and be normal again.

Tomorrow I plan on doing my school lesson plans in the morning and spending the rest of the day scrapbooking. Maybe with a little nap thrown in there somewhere.

I have to decide now if I need to go through with the MRI. I know it would be better to be safe and see what the cause of my pain is, but I dread how much they cost. We have to meet our high deductible before our insurance pays so if I do get it we may not get to take our trip to the mountains this year. I was really looking forward to it. Then again it may all work out.

I am so glad you finally got some sleep. I hope they figure out soon how to fix this.
Be blessed,
