Did I ever tell ya'll that I love sushi?

Well, I do. And tonight I found out just how much I love it. Three of the home school moms from our group asked me to go to a great sushi place that I had never tried. I will try just about any kid of food, and I went way beyond my boundaries tonight. I tried raw sushi for the second time and loved it. I also at two different kinds with fish eggs on them, yum.

What is sad is that just last fall was my first venture into the world of sushi. I always wanted to try it, but never had the guts to do it on my own. My hubby was the one who got me to try it and now TT and I love it more than he does. If you haven't tried it but you love seafood, take a chance. There are so many different types you will soon find a few you love. If you have tried it and don't like it that's okay, at least you tried!

Tomorrow I go for my third root canal, so I saw tonight as my pre-root canal party! Not bad, Aye!

It's Friday!

Well, yesterday I kept busy. Too busy to post, in fact. It was my daughter's first soccer practice so we had to go to town to purchase the proper size soccer ball, most important for practice. And therefore, since I was leaving the house , I also had to take my mother to the grocery store. A ritual repeated everyother day! (I will not go there tonight) Anywho, my dd was so sweet at her first practice. She did exceptionally well, followed every thing the coach said. I stood there thinking now why won't she do that for me.

Now, I must say that not everything at practice went well. I, did something really stupid. I kneeled down to sit on my knees and feet. You know how you tuck you feel under you to sit. Well I did this and BAM I hurt my back again. It began hurting just like it did a few weeks ago. So this morning I called the doc. and went to see him. The sweet man showed me mercy and gave me some muscle relaxers and pain killers. I think he assessed my situation when I couldn't sit down in the examining room. The chairs just didn't allow for any comfort. So, I still hurt but not that blinding, take my breath away pain. He also suggested I take a few days to lay around and rest the muscles since they were really swollen. I almost laughed at him. With our home life that is like trying to get a mouse to pass on the cheese.

I don't have any help. My mom does little. Tonight she gave me a 35 minute break and took the kids out for a swim. But I had to spend 20 minutes of it standing in the kitchen cooking dinner for my little ones. You do the math. No, I don't want sympathy, just a place to gripe a little. Till later.

A Lazy Day

That is what this day turned out to be. We really didn't do "school". TT fixed some of his mistakes from yesterday, and is reviewing for some tests tomorrow. Poogie and I just finished her reading lesson and read a new story. That is about all we will officially do today. I guess we are a little stir crazy. It is so hot outside and we feel trapped inside. This is a small house to be all closed up in for days on end.

We have been enjoying a new series of videos from the library. I have been interested the Janette Oke series starting with Love Comes Softly. We have watched the first two and have really enjoyed them. They are good family movies and very clean, which is hard to find sometimes. Even my husband likes them. I will return the second one tomorrow and check out the third. I highly recommend them.

Tomorrow we are making two mummies, one from a plastic mummy kit and the other out of an apple. I will let you know how it goes.

I went to the movies to see Becoming Jane Sunday. My husband took me and sat through another British movie. I loved it. It really showed how Jane wrote using her own experiences. I brought a whole new meaning to Sense and Sensibility and Pride and Prejudice.
