Thank God for my Dentist!

I went to my dentist appointment today expecting bad news. My teeth are like a really bad train wreck. I have a space in my front teeth due to not having my two latteral incisors. I was born without them. I never had braces because in my teens it didn't really bother me. But as I have gotten older it has really began to make me self conscious.

So I go to my new dentist and he tells me what I already know, my teeth need a lot of work. Fillings, Root Canals, etc. But then when we discuss my front teeth he tells me that there are other options other than braces. I have seen these options on the Discovery Health channel but my former dentist didn't want to do it that way, he wanted to charge me $9500 dollars to fix it. So my new option cost one-third of it and will give me a much prettier smile. I can't wait. I am going to post my before and afters on the site.

I have to say it was a very emotional moment when he told me that my teeth were fixable. I had tears in my eyes. I really wanted to just jump out of the chair and hug him. I restrained myself, but I don't know if I will be able to do that when I see my new smile for the first time.

On another note, today was suppose to be our first day of school. That is what is so great about homeschool, you just go with the flow. Tomorrow will be the first day. I will let you know how we fair.

Hey Roxy!
Long time no hear :) That is great news about you teeth. I would love to see your new smile. One of these days I would like to get my teeth fixed but right now we cant' because of the money that is involved. We have been thinking about going to a different dentist that my mil and fil are going to and they really like him. The dentist we go to now isn't very informative and the hygienist is so hard on the gums.
