Yesterday was our first official day of school. Both of the kids were excited, TT more than Poogie. All she wanted to do was to draw in her new notebooks. I was nervous about trying to teach two children so far apart in age, but it ended up working out just fine. TT really loves the Rod & Staff English and Math. The textbooks are well written and easy to understand. Poogie on the other hand wasn't too keen about working on phonics, but she ended up doing really well.
They were both excited about our unit on Egypt. We started making our lap book and I will post the results when we are finished. I do recommend the TOG free unit study to anyone it is excellent. You can order a free disk of the whole unit on the Tapestry of Grace website! I tried to upload some photos of our first day but I kept getting an error message saying that the site couldn't upload the photos at this time. So I will try again tomorrow!

Just stopping by to say hi! I see your first day went well. I also noticed your book list on the side bar. I've read the same books this month. I have Eldest on hold at the library and am patiently waiting for it. Have you watched the Eragon movie?

Yes I have watch Eragon, we own it. But I was disappointed in the movie after reading the book. The book is well written and the characters and land really come alive.
