I had forgotten how great a used book sale could be. I used to love to go to yard sales too, but I just don't make time for them anymore. So last Friday Poogie and I went to a local used curriculum sale and I was very happy with my purchases.
I went in search of a reader that was missing from Poogies reading group from BJP. I purchased it used as in on line and it was missing one of the readers. Plus, she is wanting a Science curriculum like TT's. I was planning on doing unit studies that went along with TT's lessons. I found a great one but the girl had already sold it. Darn. I hope she will be happy with the unit studies. I don't think a 1st grader really needs a full science curriculum.
As an addition to our science studies I bought a great set of books, The Explore and Learn series from Southwestern books. They are full of info on the kids favorite science subjects. Plus I got the whole set that is like new for $20.
