the host

I finally finished reading the novel The Host by Stephenie Meyer this evening and I have to say it was not what I expected. It was so much more. I am not a big sci fi fan when it comes to books. I love sci fi movies but not books about aliens. After some debate I finally purchased a copy of The Host and I haven't been able to hardly put it down.

The book ventures away from teenage love found in the Twilight series. It focuses on more adult drama and love. The center of all Stephenie's stories are love. I love that she can tie such interesting characters (aliens, vampires and werewolves) into such true love stories. I am still amazed at her imagination. She is ranks as one of my favorite authors. Now I only have to wait until Aug. 2nd to read Breaking Dawn the fourth and final book from the Twilight series.
